Superconductor Labs

A Message from Superconductor Labs

Opus Immersive is no longer operating.

We are Superconductor Labs — a company that provided some funding to Opus Immersive. For nearly a year, they were in default on their loan to us, and on May 18, 2026, we foreclosed on all of their assets.

We were as frustrated as you are. We believed in this technology, and we watched a promising company fail its customers. That’s not something we were willing to walk away from.

Rather than liquidate what we acquired, we made a decision: invest. We’ve brought in new leadership, added funding, and are committed to delivering on the promise the SoundBed has always held. The customers who have one love it — and that matters to us.

If you paid for a SoundBed or placed a deposit and never received it, here is our commitment to you:

Our commitment

We will credit 100% of your payment toward a new bed.

Over the coming weeks, we will reach out with details on how to apply your credit and get your bed on the way.

We want to be honest with you: we are not able to issue cash refunds. The funds customers paid to Opus Immersive were controlled by that company — not by us — and are not accessible to Superconductor Labs. We understand that is a hard thing to hear, and we are sorry you are in this position through no fault of your own. The credit program is our genuine effort to make this right and get you the product you paid for.

If you are a current SoundBed owner:

We are here to support you. Your bed will continue to work with the app and our support team is available.

We know trust has to be earned. We’re ready to earn it.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions

What happened to Opus Immersive?

We are not affiliated in any way with the company Opus Immersive Inc. They mismanaged their funds and commitments to customers like you and investors like us. Opus Immersive Inc. underwent foreclosure on May 18, 2026.

Who is Superconductor Labs?

We are Superconductor Labs and we are the company that has acquired the Opus assets and are investing to move the SoundBed program ahead. We know some customers are worried that this is just Opus under a new name. It is not. Superconductor Labs is a separate company, with different ownership and leadership. We believe the SoundBed is worth preserving and supporting. We are a team of very experienced business leaders that successfully run multiple other businesses in the wellness space. We have decided to invest a significant amount of money into manufacturing the SoundBed. We are applying a disciplined operating approach so customers have a company they can rely on. Our focus is on earning trust through clear communication and follow-through.

Is Superconductor Labs owned or operated by the same people as Opus?

No, the ownership and leadership of Superconductor Labs is completely different from Opus Immersive Inc. The founders and leaders of Opus Immersive are not involved in Superconductor Labs operations. We did hire a small number of staff who know the product and can help support customers, but they were not part of the leadership team or the decisions that created the problems customers are now dealing with. Under our ethical leadership and financial and operational discipline we are very confident that you will come to trust us as steward of the SoundBed.

Who owns Superconductor Labs Inc.?

Superconductor Labs Inc. is owned by Gary Baron. He is an entrepreneur and business leader with more than 30 years of experience building and investing in companies, including as founder of VSE and Plasma Futures and as an operator of consumer-focused wellness businesses.

Why is Superconductor Labs Inc. a newly formed entity with a new website?

It is normal business practice for a buyer to place an acquired business into a new entity rather than into one of its existing companies, because it gives the acquired business its own legal structure, accounting, operations, and customer communications. A separate website is a standard part of that approach, since it gives customers one clear place to find accurate information and support for that business.

Why can’t Superconductor Labs issue cash refunds?

We want to be very direct about this: we cannot issue cash refunds because we do not have the money customers originally paid to Opus Immersive. There were no funds left in Opus Immersive at the time we foreclosed on the assets.

What does “100% credit” mean?

“100% credit” means that if you decide to place a new order with Superconductor Labs, we will apply a credit equal to what you previously paid to Opus Immersive. This isn’t something we are required to do, and to be honest it will be a very costly venture for us. We need to pay for the manufacturing and shipment of a new SoundBed to you. Opus Immersive had no beds in stock, however we’ve started manufacturing and will honor this commitment to you. We’ve chosen this path because we believe that the community that has come to love and support SoundBed are our best allies in this journey. If we support each other, together we can make this a success and we believe that’s the best investment that we can make.

I paid Opus Immersive for a SoundBed and never received one. What do I have to pay to get a SoundBed from you?

If you paid Opus Immersive for a SoundBed and did not receive your item, and you wish to purchase a SoundBed from us, we will provide you with a credit equal to the amount you paid Opus Immersive. You will only pay the difference between the price of a SoundBed and the credit that we will apply. The retail price of a SoundBed from Superconductor Labs including headphones and shipping will be $2,699.

To be clear, we will not be profiting a single penny by selling SoundBed to previous Opus Immersive customers; in fact we are losing a significant amount of money taking this route, as we have to pay to manufacture and ship these SoundBeds. As we mentioned above, we are doing this because we believe it’s the ethical thing to do and we hope that you will help support us and the SoundBed community by sharing your positive experience and supporting the trust that we are building.

We know that Opus Immersive treated you unfairly, and we agree; you lost money due to their sales practices by charging you before they were ready to ship you a bed. We will not be doing that! We will only charge you when the SoundBed is on its way to you with a tracking number that we can share. We will never make promises that we can’t back up.

I paid a deposit. What happens to me?

If you choose to purchase a SoundBed from us, we will issue you a credit equal to 100% of the payment you made to Opus Immersive.

I requested or was promised a refund. What happens to me?

We understand how frustrating that situation is. You were promised a refund from Opus Immersive. While Superconductor Labs cannot provide refunds for money that we did not receive, we will offer you a credit toward the purchase of a new SoundBed from us equal to the amount you paid to Opus Immersive.

How do I use my credit and process an order for a SoundBed?

We are developing a process to allow you to view your credit and place an order. We are committed to providing you timely updates on this site, so please continue to check back.

When will my bed ship?

We have already started manufacturing SoundBeds and are committed to continue to do so at a pace that catches up to the requests. We know that Opus Immersive continued to make promises, and take orders and payments that they could not deliver on. Once you place your order with Superconductor Labs, we will confirm your shipping address and provide you with an expected shipment timeframe. We will not process any payments until your order is shipped. The infrastructure to take orders is being built and we will update you very soon so you can view your credit and place your order.

Is the app still supported?

Yes. We are supporting the previous Opus Connect app and investing in upgrades as well. More to come on that soon! Support resources are available now, including help materials related to app setup, connectivity, and troubleshooting. We are committed to maintaining continuity for current users while we evaluate how to strengthen the overall customer experience going forward.

I already own a SoundBed. Where do I get support?

If you already own a SoundBed, support resources are available for setup, troubleshooting, and product questions. We want existing owners to feel confident that they are not being left behind, and maintaining access to support is an important part of that commitment. You can contact us directly through the app by going to ‘Settings’ and ‘Need support’. You will be directed to the Superconductorlabsinc.com website where our support email is listed at the bottom of the page. Alternatively, you can simply email us at support@superconductorlabsinc.com.

How do I know a message or form is really from Superconductor Labs?

Official communications will come through clearly identified Superconductor Labs channels and will be consistent in branding and purpose. If you are ever unsure, pause before sharing information and confirm through an official support contact. We want customers to feel safe, informed, and protected throughout this transition.

Where will official updates be posted?

Official updates will be posted through Superconductor Labs’ official website and support channels. We encourage customers to rely on those sources for the most accurate information about credits, order verification, shipping updates, and customer support going forward.
